Mr. Christopher Corbin is the Coordinator of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Cartagena Convention Secretariat based in Kingston, Jamaica. He assumed these duties as of 2022. Chris has been with UNEP since 2004 and prior to assuming the role of Coordinator, was the Programme Manager for its Marine Pollution Programme.
Ms. Laverne Walker, a Saint Lucian national, has over 25 years of experience in coastal and marine management, governance, and sustainable development, with a focus on small island developing States. She has worked with the Government of Saint Lucia, UNOPS, UNDP/GEF CLME and CLME+ Projects, and the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean. Currently, she serves as Programme Management Officer for Marine Pollution at UNEP’s Cartagena Convention Secretariat.
Ms.Taylor Clayton possesses a strong sustainability background with a decade of experience in project management and multistakeholder partnership building. She has expertise across sustainable supply chains and the circular economy, plastic pollution included. Taylor has acquired diverse professional experience with international organizations including the World Economic Forum, UNDP, UNEP, and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development.
Ms. Susana Perera Valderrama has been serving as the Marine Biodiversity Programme Officer at the UNEP Cartagena Convention Secretariat since June 2023. In this role, she coordinates the implementation of the Protocol on Specially Protected Areas and Wildlife (SPAW) throughout the Wider Caribbean Region. A Cuban national, Ms.
