How long did it take to make GEO-6 for Youth?
The first authors’ meeting took place in Bangkok on 25-27 June 2018, with a second authors meeting in Nairobi on 4-6 February 2019 and the last meeting in Vienna on 15-17 May 2019. The report will be launched in early 2020.

- Where are they from?
Canada, Ecuador, India, Iran, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Kuwait, Netherlands, Oman, Pakistan, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Republic of Sudan, UK, Uruguay, USA and Venezuela. - Other than those who are full time students, what do they do for work? Some of them still work for universities, as researchers, PHDs or research assistants other works for ministries or government entities, but also NGOs, research institutes, private sector and the World Bank
- Why were they selected to be authors? An initial group of them was selected because they worked before on the main GEO-6 report as GEO-6 fellows. GEO-6 fellows were selected through an official nomination process and others were recommended by the Coordinating Lead Authors and approved by the Scientific Advisory Panel from the main GEO-6 report. Other authors were nominated because of their expertise, collaboration within the regional GEO for Youth processes and recommendation by previous authors or members of the advisory bodies.
