The 8th Africa Animal Welfare Conference was held under the theme: Partnership actions to improve animal welfare for environmental sustainability. The annual conference which was co-hosted by Africa Network for Animal Welfare (ANAW) in collaboration with United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), African Union InterAfrican Bureau for Animal Resources (AU-IBAR) and the Kenyan Government took place at the UN Complex in Gigiri, Nairobi, Kenya from 30 September to 2 October 2024.
The conference once again brought together professionals and practitioners to discuss issues spanning animal welfare, wildlife, and environmental conservation.
