1. Preparing stakeholders for UNEA-2 meeting. (Wednesday, 20 April 2016 at 12:45, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES) by Stakeholder Forum for a Sustainable Future, Civicus, UNEP This New York meeting is part of series of global webinars and events (including parallel sessions in London and Geneva) organised by Stakeholder Forum, UNEP, as well as CIVICUS, aimed at supporting stakeholder input in UNEA2.
The event will inform you about the progress of the negotiations for UNEA2, the avenues for involvement, and will provide the opportunity to make stakeholder input on some of the meeting's major themes, including 'Healthy People, Healthy Planet' and 'Partnerships to implement the environmental dimension of the Sustainable Development Agenda'. This will be a unique occasion to share and discuss ideas with prominent speakers and other stakeholders on the key issues related to UNEA2. The event will take place at the Daily News Building on the 20th of April from 13.00-15.00, including a free lunch. 2. Multistakeholders Dialogue on the preparations of the Second Session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (4 April 2014, Geneva). This meeting was organised towards preparations for UNEA-2 for Geneva-based Permanent Missions, Inter-governmental organizations and civil society was organized by the Geneva Environment Network, UNEP Regional Office for Europe and the United Nations Non-Governmental Liaison Service (UN-NGLS). The event took place on Monday 4 April 2016, at the International Environment House II.

3. Key Messages from Canadian Major Groups and Stakeholders Regional Consultation on Delivering on the Environmental Dimension of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda ( 23 March 2016, Ottawa). The United Nations Environment Programme’s Regional Office for North America (UNEP RONA) convened a half-day round-table consultation in Ottawa, Ontario on March 23rd, 2016, with Canadian-based Major Groups and Stakeholder representatives, civil society, and government officials. The objective of the meeting was to provide stakeholders with an opportunity to provide input into the upcoming United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA 2) to be held in Nairobi, Kenya from 23 – 27 May, 2016. The consultation focused on two issues that will be central to the UNEA agenda: Delivering the Environmental Dimension of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda and Healthy Environment – Healthy People.
