• Overview

Date: 31October - Time: 1:00pm to 3:00pm

In addition to using lower global warming potential refrigerants, simultaneously promoting energy efficiency permits the decoupling of economic growth from energy consumption. For example in Southern African, the region is progressing with regional standards on lower global warming potential refrigerants and efficiency requirements for room air conditioners and residential refrigerants.

This session aims to give insights about the forecasted growth of cooling products (via the United For Efficiency Country Savings Assessments) and impact through their use of refrigerants and electricity consumption. In addition best practice tools that can be implemented by countries, such as the U4E model regulation guidelines, will be presented.
