The side event of the IWD Regional Commemoration will provide an overview on green jobs and sustainable careers in the region. As the green economy flourishes, creating countless new opportunities, young women and girls still have limited access to employment in sectors such as renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and eco-friendly technology. Despite the bright prospects, barriers remain, particularly for young women and girls in the Asia and the Pacific region. This workshop aims to provide insights, an outlook on skills development, and a platform for mentorship and networking in green careers.
