The Intergovernmental Meeting convened by the Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) to consider the establishment of a science-policy panel to contribute further to the sound management of chemicals and waste and to prevent pollution will be hosted by the Government of Uruguay at the Convention and Exhibition Center in Punta del Este from 19 to 20 June 2025.
The meeting will take place back-to-back with the resumed third session of the ad hoc open-ended working group on a science-policy panel to contribute further to the sound management of chemicals and waste and to prevent pollution (OEWG 3.2), scheduled from 15 to 18 June 2025 at the same location. OEWG 3.2 will be preceded by informal and regional consultations on 14 June 2025.
