The annual implementation conference of UNEP’s Oil and Gas Methane Partnership 2.0 will take place from 28 February to 1 March 2024 in Madrid, Spain.
OGMP 2.0 is UNEP’s flagship oil and gas methane mitigation and measurement programme. It is the sector’s only comprehensive measurement-based reporting framework and offers a community of practice for companies to share expertise and learn from one another.
The annual conference is a key forum for facilitating this knowledge exchange and advancing efforts to cut methane emissions. It brings together representatives of OGMP 2.0’s over 125 member companies, who collectively represent nearly 40% of global oil and gas production, as well as non-company members from countries, international organisations, and NGOs.
