The secretariat of the Green Customs Initiative and the joint secretariat of the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and their Disposal, the Rotterdam Convention on the Prior Informed Consent Procedure for Certain Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides in International Trade, and the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants invite you to this event titled, Greening Customs for People, Planet and Prosperity: The Case of Waste Management. 

The event will be held at the sidelines of the 31st Session of the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime’s Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (UNODC-CCPCJ) on Tuesday, 17 May at 9-10 a.m. CET, and will bring together several national authorities, the World Customs Organization and the UNODC to share challenges and lessons learnt in preventing and combatting traffic in hazardous and other wastes. The event will be conducted in English and is open to all interested participants, who can also connect to the event virtually through Microsoft Teams here.
