• Overview

The Global Dialogues in support of the Food Systems Summit (FSS) are convened in relation to significant issues related to food systems such as environment, water, health and trade. Their main purpose is to bring political attention to food systems in other high-level thematic or sectoral meetings and negotiations related to food systems.

They aim to enrich discussions on food systems with insights from other angles. The intention is to bring together decision-makers from various backgrounds to encourage a multi-sectoral, “whole of government” – and even “whole of society” – approach to food systems in support of the Sustainable Development Goals.

This Dialogue will follow the Summit Dialogues’ standardized approach to convening, curating and facilitating structured conversations among groups with different perspectives on how to get their food systems to work for the common good.

You can follow the live broadcast of the Dialogue's opening with Inger Andersen, Agnes Kalibata and Chef Massimo Bottura at 1pm CEST on UN TV at: http://webtv.un.org
