The Kyrgyz Republic's landscapes and ecosystems are being reshaped by climate change.
The Atlas of Environmental Change for the Kyrgyz Republic, presented at this event, is underpinned by datasets covering six decades. It covers topics ranging from forestry, water, land use, to biodiversity and natural disasters. The wealth of data in the Atlas can form a solid evidence base to support the country in adapting to environmental change
The Atlas provides detailed information on the environment, focusing on terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, progress towards the three Rio Conventions (climate change, biodiversity and desertification) and SDG6 and SDG15.
The launch event is organised by the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic, the country's Ozone Centre, and the UN Environment Programme.
