The First Stakeholder’s Forum of the Green Recovery Platform for Ukraine will bring together key actors to enhance coordinated action for Ukraine’s green recovery. The Forum serves as a platform for government institutions, international organizations, civil society, academia, financial institutions and the private sector to provide expertise and strategic advice on integrating sustainability into the country’s reconstruction efforts. The meeting will provide an opportunity to assess progress, coordinate ongoing initiatives, and identify priority actions for the upcoming year.
The Stakeholder’s Forum is a central coordinating mechanism under The Green Recovery Platform for Ukraine, which was established at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in June 2024 by the Government of Ukraine in cooperation with United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). The Platform is supported by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection of Germany (BMUV) and the Ministry of Environment of Finland.
Opening remarks will be provided by representatives from Ukrainian Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources, the Ukrainian Ministry for Communities and Territories Development, the Ukrainian Ministry of Economy as well as the European Commission, Italy, Germany, Finland, and the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Ukraine.
