Description: The Global Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA) Fund is an innovative financing mechanism that provides catalytic small grants to support pioneering initiatives aimed at enhancing climate resilience. These grants are designed to implement nature-based solutions that protect ecosystems while simultaneously addressing the impacts of climate change. The fund emphasizes projects that incorporate innovative approaches and have the potential for scaling up and replication to foster long-term ecosystem and community resilience.

The Fund supports projects worldwide, with a focus on vulnerable regions that are most affected by climate change, and ecosystems critical to biodiversity and human livelihoods. Key regions include Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Asia-Pacific, where ecosystems such as mangroves, forests, wetlands, and coral reefs face increasing threats from climate change-induced challenges like sea-level rise, droughts, floods, and extreme weather events.
