The seventh edition of UNEP’s Global Environment Outlook was requested at the recently concluded UNEA 5.2. The resolution requests the Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme to establish an ad hoc intergovernmental and multi-stakeholder advisory group, governed by the rules of procedure of the Environment Assembly, ensuring geographic balance across all United Nations regions and also ensuring disciplinary and gender balance. In this regard, the inaugural face to face meeting of the Intergovernmental and Multi-stakeholder Advisory Group (IMAG) will take place on 21 October 2022.
