This One UN event will be happening at the 12th World Urban Forum.

Location : ONE UN room B, Egypt International Exhibition Center, Cairo, Egypt  

Organizers : The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) (lead) UN Habitat, World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) and The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) 

Description : Protecting the billions who walk, and cycle daily is vital to achieving multiple international objective including the Sustainable Development Goals. UN agencies like UNEP, UN-Habitat, UNICEF, and WHO have advocated for walking and cycling through lenses of environment, cities, children, and health.  This event will launch the Pan African Action Plan for Active Mobility (PAAPAM), a framework co-developed to ensure safe, sustainable mobility in Africa, aiming to improve road safety, reduce pollution, enhance public health, and foster inclusive communities and showcase good practice and collaboration among UN Agencies around the world.
