From September 24 and 27, 2018, Cancun, Mexico will host the meeting of the High Level Intergovernmental and Stakeholder Advisory Group responsible for preparing the Summary for Decision Makers of the sixth edition of the Global Environment Outlook report (GEO-6). The event is organized by UN Environment, in coordination with the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of Mexico (SEMARNAT). The experts who will get together, including government and academic representatives from 21 countries, will seek to integrate the main findings of the six regional Global Environment Outlook report into a document that provides decision makers with useful and timely information that supports public policy and help reach the environmental objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals and the Multilateral Environmental Agreements. Once completed, the report will be delivered to the Fourth Assembly of the United Nations Environment Program to be held from March 11 to 15, 2019 in Nairobi, Kenya.
