This is a side event of the Congo Basin Climate Commission Pavilion at the UNFCCC COP29.
The project ‘Securing crucial biodiversity, carbon and water reserves in the peatlands of the Congo Basin through informed decision-making and good governance’ is being implemented under the coordination of UNEP and the institutional cover of the Ministry of the Environment and Sustainable Development of the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Ministry of the Environment, Sustainable Development and the Congo Basin of the Republic of Congo. As part of the implementation of this project, a side-event will be organised on the sidelines of COP29, in Baku, Azerbaijan, on Monday 18 November 2024, from 16:00 to 17:30 in the pavilion of the Congo Basin Climate Commission (CCBC).
