This is an official parallel event of the Biodiversity COP16

Date: 27 October 2024

Time: 10:30-12:30 Colombia Time (COT)

Location: COP16 Blue Zone Venue

In a resounding display of leadership and commitment to urban nature and biodiversity, mayors from around the world will come together at the Mayors’ Forum on Urban Nature and Biodiversity during the 8th Summit for Subnational Governments and Cities, an official parallel COP16 event.

The Forum will serve as a critical platform to highlight the mayors’ groundbreaking efforts and raise the bar on commitment to urban nature and biodiversity action on a global level. As one of the key themes of the Forum, Mayoral Ambition will represent a signal of serious intent – how the cities are dedicated to achieving the global targets set out in the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
