On October 5th, 2022 (15:00 - 17:00 GMT+2) the United Nations Environment Programme hosted the second of a series of webinars to introduce the new science-policy panel on chemicals, waste and prevention of pollution prevention and the processes of the associated ad hoc open-ended working group (OEWG).
The second webinar focused on lessons and examples from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES), the International Resource Panel (IRP), the Montreal Protocol, and the World Health Organization (WHO), that will inform the design and operation of the new Science-policy panel.
It was followed by a dialogue between speakers on urgent issues and questions from the chair of the meeting to the panel members. There was an opportunity for the audience to pose questions to the panel members.
