The Regional Working Groups on food waste reduction aim to allow participating countries to design, fund, and implement strategies to measure food waste in their country and reduce the amount of food waste in their country so that they can achieve SDG12.3 and manage the food waste that does arise in the most sustainable way and appropriate to their circumstances. The expected outcome of the sessions is that countries are informed on effective approaches to reduce food waste, share good practices across their region, develop National Food Waste Prevention Strategies to structure their own actions, and begin to overcome barriers to implementation.
The workshops are organized by UNEP through GO4SDGs in partnership with Wrap
