The CD-based Resource Tool Sound Management of Pesticides and Diagnosis and Treatment of Pesticide Poisoning contains information on pesticides and their mode of action, personal protection measures and measures to protect the general public and the environment. The tool contains information on different aspects of pesticide management, in particular its judicious and safe application within the context of Integrated Pest and Vector Management.
The tool also provides information on diagnosis, first aid and treatment of pesticide poisonings. The Resource Tool is intended for use in national programmes to assist in management of pesticides, to provide aid in diagnosis and treatment of pesticide poisoning, for use in formulating training courses, and may be adapted to the specific needs of different target groups.
