Tide Turners Plastic Challenge Partners

  • World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM): WOSM is the largest international Scouting organization with 171 members. These members are recognized national Scout organizations, which collectively have over 50 million participants. UNEP's Tide Turners Plastic Challenge Badge is part of the scouts earth tribe, a new educational initiative that unites young people in a global youth movement for environmental action.
  • World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS)WAGGGS is a global association supporting the female-oriented and female-only Guiding and Scouting organizations in 150 countries. The Tide Turners Plastic Challenge Badge is implemented by WAGGGS through member organizations in 11 countries in Africa and Asia
  • Junior Achievement Worldwide: Junior Achievement is a global non-profit youth organization founded in 1919. It works with local businesses, schools, and organizations to deliver experiential learning programmes in the areas of work readiness, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship to students aged 5-25. Junior Achievement Africa leveraged its digital presence by running an online movement and launching a social media campaign called #AfricaBeatsPlastics. Junior Achievement Africa aims to mobilize 30,000 youth aged seven and above, to participate in the fight against plastic pollution.

  • Playing for the Planet Alliance: Over 20 of the world's major video gaming companies have come together to push the industry to make a difference for the environment.
  • Playmob: UNEP is working with Playmob to engage with the gaming industry and encourage greater leadership on the agendas of environment and sustainability.
