The Faith for Earth Youth Council is a platform composed of young faith leaders and members of youth movements globally advocating for the protection of the Earth in their faith communities.

Faith is a powerful driver of behaviours and attitudes. Young faith leaders and movements carry with them the potential to mobilise a generation of environmentally conscious leaders committed to sustainable development and intergenerational equity.

The lived experiences of younger generations is an asset that is taken for granted but is critical for reaching an entire population.

The purpose of the Youth Council is to mobilise faith and interfaith youth engagement to engage in intergovernmental processes by promoting training and capacity-building in these processes and peer-to-peer learning.

"The future is created one room at a time, one gathering at a time. Each gathering needs to become an example of the future we want to create."

- Peter Block, excerpt from the book Community: The Structure of Belonging
