The Investing in Water: Infrastructure + Technology report will be the first in a series of reports to address the global water crisis.
Climate change, over-population, poor water management and water pollution threaten our global water security. As climate change intensifies, climate extremes will be felt throughout the water cycle. Water supplies will be disrupted and the impact will be felt across ecosystems and economies. Poor and climate vulnerable countries and communities with decaying or limited water infrastructure, governance, and water management are already feeling the pressure.
Water conservation technologies and new financial mechanisms create more opportunities for water reuse and the safeguarding of existing water reserves. This will be the focus of the Investing in Water reports. In this series, experts will highlight how investments in new financial frameworks and technologies can help us secure our water interests.
