The sixteenth session of the Conference of the Parties (COP16) of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 2 to 13 December 2024.

The twenty-nineth session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan from 11 - 22 November. 

The Sixteenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP 16) will be held in Cali, Colombia from 21 October - 1 November 2024.

UNEP SIDE EVENT: Innovative solutions for nature in cities

Science-based, data-fuelled collaborations are critical to restoring ocean health and ensuring a safe, just blue economy. Barriers, opportunities and innovative approaches will be shared and discussed.

The goal will be to highlight the S2S land-ocean connection and the link with nature-based solution as a way to address pollution, and/ or the blue economy.

This is one of the official side events of the UN Ocean Conference to be held from 27 June to 1 July 2022 in Lisbon, Portugal.
