Expert consultations on mercury from oil and gas were organized by the Global Mercury Partnership on Monday 10 May 2021.
The consultations were an opportunity to provide input to the draft study report developed in the context of the Partnership, share additional knowledge, data and best practice, and discuss suggestions for future work. Participants were invited to attend in their expert capacity, to share views and ideas, as well as any useful background information.

The Mercury waste management Area of the UNEP Global Mercury Partnership held its annual meeting on Monday 8 March 2021 in an online setting.
The meeting discussed the needs for mercury waste management technologies and services identified in a recently conducted online survey, and explored opportunities for future work. The meeting also considered the Partnership area's activity plan.
The Mercury supply and storage Area of the UNEP Global Mercury Partnership held its annual meeting on Thursday 25 February 2021, in an online setting.
The meeting was first provided with an update by the Secretariat of the Partnership on ongoing and future planned activities, as well as by the Secretariat of the Minamata Convention on issues related to mercury supply sources and storage under the Convention.
The eleventh meeting of the UNEP Global Mercury Partnership Advisory Group (PAG11) was held on 15 and 16 December 2020 in a virtual setting, under the leadership of the PAG co-chairs, Rodges Ankrah (Environmental Protection Agency, U.S.), and Teeraporn Wiriwutikorn (Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Thailand).

Meeting Agenda
The UNEP Global Mercury Partnership and its Area of work on Mercury in Products, in cooperation with the World Health Organization, organized on 30 November 2020 a webinar to focus on the issue of mercury in skin lightening products. The event looked into the adverse effects of these products, shared information, and discussed some of the practices, experiences as well as challenges faced by countries and other stakeholders in meeting the 2020 deadline for phase out under the Minamata Convention.
