Multi-stakeholder Forum

Paragraph 16 of resolution 5/14 requested the UNEP Executive Director, subject to the availability of financial resources, to convene, in conjunction with the first session of the intergovernmental negotiating committee (INC-1) and building upon existing initiatives, where appropriate, a forum that is open to all stakeholders for the exchange of information and activities related to plastic pollution.
Stakeholder Dialogue

Paragraph 3 (l) of resolution 5/14, the instrument would include provisions to encourage action by all stakeholders, including the private sector, and to promote cooperation at the global, regional, national and local levels. To facilitate an additional opportunity for the committee to exchange views with stakeholders participating in the first session of the intergovernmental negotiating committee (INC-1), the secretariat organized a stakeholder dialogue in a hybrid format.
