The President of Kenya, His Excellency Uhuru Kenyatta, together with the United Nations Secretary General Mr. Ban Ki Moon, opened the 1st Ministerial Session for Sustainable Transport in Africa on 30 October, 2014. 42 African countries and over 20 African Ministers of Transport and Environment attended the Ministerial Session, which was chaired by the Hon. Ing. Michael Kamau, Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, Government of Kenya, and the Hon. Prof. Judi Wakhungu, Cabinet Secretary of Environment, Water and Natural resources, Government of Kenya.
