This workshop is organised by the UNEP OzonAction Compliance Assistance Programme in cooperation with South Asia and Southeast Asia Network. The objectives of the virtual workshop are to provide an overview of the existing international standards related to the Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning (RAC) sector, identify essential standards that need to be adopted/developed, and explore how to engage stakeholders to enforce relevant safety standards at the national level.
This virtual network meeting aims to update the latest development of policy and technical aspects under the Montreal Protocol at the global level, exchange ideas on how to keep delivering the approved activities under Multilateral Fund during COVID-19 pandemic, review the CAP services provided to countries as well as ongoing/planned regional activities and hear the needs of countries.
“The Asia Pacific Regional Ozone2Climate Art Contest” aims to promote the linkage of the ozone layer and climate change protection as well as achievements made under the Montreal Protocol and outreach for the continuous mobilization of public support on the phase-out of ozone depleting substances and phase-down of potent greenhouse gases, hydrofluorocarbons.
This Thematic Meeting on Policy Options for an HFC Phase-down is being organized as a session topic in a series of meetings organized by UNEP CAP team, Asia and the Pacific Office throughout 2021.
This meeting is part of the activities of UNEP OzonAction’s Asia Pacific Compliance Assistance Programme (CAP). The meeting is to review the strategy of how to integrate HFC issues into the ongoing HCFC phaseout activities.
