The objective of this meeting is to discuss and share information among SEA network countries on the status of adoption of the AHTN2022. The meeting will also discuss whether specific HS codes for HFCs and blends have been assigned under the AHTN2022 at the national level and, if not yet, to exchange ideas on which kind of mechanism can be adopted to enable the country to track import statistics of HFCs and blends by substances.
The meeting aims to (i) launch the implementation of the Australia – Regional Component and to introduce the Air-conditioning Refrigeration Equipment Manufacturers Association of Australia (AREMA), as an implementation partner, to the PICs and (ii) discuss implementation modality and work plan to obtain feedback from the PICs for finalization and to further seek support from the PICs during implementation.
