Panama City, Panama, 15 July 2024 — The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) OzonAction Compliance Assistance Programme (CAP), Latin America and the Caribbean organized a series of events in Panama City, Panama, from 20–28 June 2024.
Koror, the Republic of Palau, 7 – 11 June 2024 – UNEP’s OzonAction Asia-Pacific Compliance Assistance Programme (CAP) team organized the Training of New National Ozone Officers/National Ozone Unit Staff and the Network Meeting of the National Ozone Officers of the Pacific Island Countries (PIC) Network.

Cotonou, Benin 3 to 7 June 2024 – Twenty (20) Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (RAC) experts from eight African Francophone countries – Benin, Chad, Cabo Verde, Democratic Republic of Congo, Madagascar, Niger, Senegal and Togo (14 male, 6 female) successfully participated in the theory, practice training and certification session on servicing best practices and safe handling of F-Gases in refrigeration.
Nouakchott, Mauritania, 21 May 2024 –The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) OzonAction Compliance Assistance Programme (CAP), Africa Office-Francophone Network in cooperation with the Government of Mauritania organized a training workshop for new National Ozone Officers (NOOs) and staff of the National Ozone Units (NOUs). The workshop is part of the Regional Network service OzonAction's CAP provides to Article 5 countries in its role as an Implementing Agency of the Multilateral Fund for the Implementation of the Montreal Protocol.

Rwanda, 8 May 2023 – The Regional Meeting for National Ozone Officers of the English-Speaking African Network was held in Kigali, Rwanda from 8 to 10 May 2023. The meeting was organized by the UNEP OzonAction Compliance Assistance Programme team in Africa to facilitate the sharing of experiences and good practices in various areas under the Montreal Protocol among countries of the African network.

Chiang Mai, Thailand, 6-7 October 2022 ‒ Twenty-one new National Ozone Unit (NOU) staff (female 11, male 10) in the South-Asia (SA) and Southeast Asia (SEA) Networks met on 6-7 October 2022 in Chiang Mai, Thailand to learn how to connect their day-to-day activities with the legacy of the Montreal Protocol.
Bangkok, 14 October 2022 ‒ The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) OzonAction Compliance Assistance Programme (CAP), Asia and the Pacific Office organized a virtual orientation workshop for 69 (32 female and 37 male) new National Ozone Officers (NOO) and other staff members of 24 National Ozone Units (NOUs) in two sessions consecutively on 12 and 14 October 2021.
European and Central Asian countries, the Ozone Secretariat and implementing agencies of the Montreal Protocol met in Antalya to share information and lessons learned from their efforts to reduce the use of ozone-depleting and global warming chemicals.
BANGKOK, 29 September 2018 - The first Thematic Meeting on the Implementation of the Initial Obligations for Countries that have Ratified the Montreal Protocol’s Kigali Amendment was held on 27 September 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand as part of the Pacific Islands Countries’ National Ozone Officers Network and Thematic Meeting held from 27-29 September.
BANGKOK, 29 September 2018 — Following a successful training of new National Ozone Officers from the Pacific Island Countries, UN Environment OzonAction organized a similar training for Ozone Officers from South Asia and South East Asia. The two-day training, also conducted in Bangkok, Thailand was held from 28-29 September 2018.
