Alexander Rendell

Actor and Singer, Goodwill Ambassador - Thailand

Biography

Alexander Rendell, an award winning actor, is currently Thailand’s first goodwill ambassador of the United Nation Environment Programme and the Ambassadiver of PADI, the world’s largest scuba diving organisation.

His passion for the environment started at the age of ten, where he was part of a wild Elephant rescue mission in the Khao Yai National park.

In 2014, Alex used his public presence to initiate a fundraiser and successfully adopted a baby elephant named "Kwan Muang” to inspire wildlife protection. Kwan Muang is now a trained educational elephant. Alex further advocated his conservation initiative by fundraising the first Elephant Ambulance in Thailand.

Currently, Alex is the CEO of the Environmental Education Centre (EEC) in which he co-founded back in 2015. EEC has since conducted over 200 educational programmes through the concept of edutainment, where the mission is to “inspire the hearts and educating the minds for a sustainable future”.

His personal vision is to inspire the younger generation by using his presence and experience from the entertainment industry to call for sustainable action. He now represents many organisations and projects that encourage sustainability and is perceived as the face of environmental conservation to the general Thai public.
