Carina Mütschele works in the Youth, Education and Advocacy Unit within the Ecosytems Division at UNEP. She works mainly on formal education initiatives including engaging youth and higher education partners through the Youth and Education Alliance (YEA!) and working on a variety of higher education focused initiatives such as the Global Climate Letter and the Little Book of Green Nudges. She also supports the work around Earth School, a joint UNEP and TED-Ed initiative, which aims to bring nature-focused educational content into the minds and hearts of young people around the world.
Carina previously worked on private sector engagement with UNEP's Corporate Services and Governance Affairs divisions and before this she worked with the Aga Khan University in Nairobi, Kenya. She has also worked as an English teacher and youth worker and previously spent time working in Central and South America on a variety of community-based projects.
Carina holds a degree in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Victoria in Canada. She loves food, traveling and dancing.
