In his work with UNEP, Gareth James Lloyd specializes in the sustainable development of water resources, from a global policy level to on-the-ground implementation. He has degrees in environmental science and development policy from universities in the United Kingdom and Denmark, and has previously worked at Microsoft. His current role is as the Deputy Chief Manager of the UNEP-DHI Centre on Water and Environment. The Centre is hosted at DHI, a not-for-profit, advisory, research and software organization with more than 1,000 staff operating in more than 30 countries. Gareth is responsible for assisting with the management and development of the Centre. This includes support to the water-related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the development and application of technology solutions to address climate issues, as well as various programme and project activities in collaboration with a diverse range of partners.
