Linxiu Zhang, Director, UNEP-International Ecosystem Management Partnership (UNEP-IEMP). Ms. Zhang is leading the implementation of a UNEP flagship programme focusing on the nexus of climate, ecosystems and livelihoods (CEL) through South-South cooperation. Prior to joining UNEP, Ms. Zhang had more than 30 years of policy research experience covering areas of rural development, especially on employment and migration, land tenure, public goods and services provision, poverty alleviation and sustainable livelihoods, climate change adaptation and gender.
Ms. Zhang holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics from the University of Reading in the U.K. She is a Fellow of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS).
