Media and Communication Specialist


Biography

Maxime works as a Media and Communications Specialist for UN Environment’s Crisis Management Branch in Geneva. Since joining the UN Environment in 2018, he has been leading the communication and media outreach activities of the Crisis Management Branch and its projects in Afghanistan, Nigeria, Sudan, South Sudan and Haiti. Maxime is passionate about getting the wider public interested, engaged and actively involved in protecting the environment and preventing disasters. 

Maxime’s academic background is in Translation, Political Science and Communication. Before joining UN Environment, Maxime spent a number of years working in the environmental sector in Brussels. His previous post was as Communications Officer for the Brussels’ office of BirdLife International. Prior to that, Maxime worked in public affairs and communications for major international organizations, including a large media conglomerate from Hong Kong as well as the Provincial Government of Quebec and the Government of the United States of America.
