Sharif Shawky is a consultant at UN Environment with the Global Environment Outlook (GEO) team.He studied Ecosystem Science & Sustainability with a focus on global environmental sustainability and environmental policy at Colorado State University, USA.He first became interested with UN Environment through his professor, Gillian Bowser. She sparked his interest in global environmental sustainability and when he happened to visit Nairobi, he stopped by UN Environment and fell in love with their program. Here at Global Environment Outlook, he is helping organize reports, meetings and provide outreach through networking and social media. He is looking forward to help develop the GEO-6 report and its derivative products
