Investment case
Responding to the triple planetary crisis demands a more robust, agile, innovative, and forward-focused UNEP, which can be challenging, with over 80 per cent of funding rigidly earmarked for specific projects. To tackle this issue, UNEP has established three new funds: Climate Stability, Living in Harmony with Nature, and Towards a Pollution-Free Planet. The funds are open to contributions from all levels of government, multilateral development banks, regional organizations, international financial institutions, philanthropies, foundations and individuals.
They are designed to complement the Environment Fund and other funding streams available to UNEP. This Investment Case is part of a suite of materials available on the Thematic Funds page.
