The Evaluation Manual provides a succinct overview of guidelines, rules, requirements and processes in accordance with UNEP’s Evaluation Policy (2022) and supersedes all previous versions. The manual contains an overview of all types of evaluations conducted in UNEP, guidance on how to integrate evaluation into the project cycle and requirements for both evaluation and management-led review processes. It describes the evaluation process from planning and initiation through to report preparation, management response and recommendation compliance.
