Afghanistan's Second National Communication (SNC) under the UNFCCC (2015-2016) introduces the mainstreaming of climate change into national policies and planning for policy and decision makers. This report covers a wide area of climate actions and activities, from adaptation to technology transfer, to climate change governance and gender issues. In addition to these, the report also defines some clear projections about the precipitation and temperature of the country. The main challenge for Afghanistan is the lack of capacity to integrate the climate change issue as a concept in the national planning for various sectors, this publication is likely to support the strengthening capacity to integrate the climate change in national development planning.
