AGROFORESTRY IS UNEP’S ECO-DRR PROJECT IN DR CONGO
Agroforestry provides additional income to farmers, while increasing forest cover and reducing the risk of soil erosion and flooding. The Eco-DRR project introduced agroforestry to communities in the Lukaya River Basin. The selected agroforestry system has an 8-year rotational cycle of farming and forestry. The video shows agroforestry results after 1 year and 3 years.
