Maize and Milpa in Mexico
Scope of work
To analyze the main trade-offs in terms of environmental services, natural capital, and human well-being among the different land uses for the production of commercial corn and milpa. A full quantification of the value chain and an economic assessment of the expected impacts for biodiversity, ecosystem services and livelihoods of farmers and other social actors, as well as predicted changes in land cover, are expected.
