The Mediterranean Action Plan of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP/MAP) will contribute to advocacy efforts on the sidelines of the crucial negotiations at the UN Biodiversity Conference (COP 15) taking place from 7-19 December 2022 in Montreal, Canada.
The Mediterranean corner, which is coordinated by the UNEP/MAP Regional Activity Centre for Specially Protected Areas (SPA/RAC), will host “Talks for Nature”, a series of encounters and debates focusing on biodiversity protection in the Mediterranean region and aimed at policymakers, practitioners and media representatives. The talks for nature will feature contributions from several partners in the Mediterranean region.
