This high-level ministerial meeting chaired by Haiti as the host country will examine the achievements of the Caribbean Biological Corridor (CBC) to date, and will discuss future priorities.

The technical committee will define a new geographic demarcation for the corridor and will discuss the financial, communications and implementation plans of the project.

The panelists will speak specifically about the progress and future phases of the Ecosystem-Based Forest Restoration and Adaptation project in vulnerable rural communities in Cuba, Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

Likewise, the priorities of cooperation with the International Climate Initiative (IKI) and the expansion of the strategic approach of the European Union in the conservation of biodiversity in the region will be determined.
