The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) will launch the 2022 edition of the Frontiers report: Noise, Blazes and Mismatches: Emerging Issues of Environmental Concern in a virtual press conference in the run-up to UNEA 5.2.
UNEP’s Frontiers reports have identified and draw attention to emerging issues of environmental concern. The 2022 edition continues to advance this work, signalling environmental issues and solutions for effective and timely responses. The report includes the following chapters:
- Listening to Cities: From Noisy Environments to Positive Soundscapes
- Wildfires Under Climate Change: A Burning Issue
- Phenology: Climate Change Is Shifting the Rhythm of Nature
Panelists:
- Andrea Hinwood, Chief Scientist, on behalf of Ms. Inger Andersen, UNEP Executive Director (UNEP)
- H.E. David Da Silva, High Commissioner and Permanent Representative of Canada
- H.E. Khaled Al-Abyad, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Egypt
- Maarten Kappelle, Head of Thematic Scientific Assessments (UNEP)
