The First Global Author's Meeting for the seventh edition of the Global Environment Outlook (GEO-7) will run from 13-17 March 2023. This meeting will also include parallel meetings of the Multidisciplinary Expert Scientific Advisory Group (MESAG) and Intergovernmental and Multi-stakeholder Advisory Group (IMAG). These meetings will be preceded by two workshops which will run from 8-10 March 2023. These two workshops will be on the solutions pathways that will be explored in GEO-7 and the scenarios and modelling that will accompany them.
Meeting objectives:
- Expand the annotated outline and agree the drafting process of the Introduction and Drivers/Pressures chapters
- Expand the annotated outline and agree the drafting process for the State and Trends of the Environment chapters
- Expand the annotated outline and agree the drafting process for the Policy chapters
- Expand the annotated outline and agree the drafting process for the Outlooks chapters
- Where possible, begin the drafting process for the chapters.
