What: The COVID-19 pandemic put the entire water sector – drinking water supply, hygiene and sanitation, and wastewater management – to a stress test with surprising implications for water infrastructure, including the health and safety of wastewater utility workers. UNEP is working to protect and restore water-related ecosystems to address water quality issues and pollution. UNEP collaborated with the Asian Institute of Technology to assess the impact of COVID-19 on the water sector. Learn more in this webinar.
