Our vision is to inspire the next generation of young leaders to become environmentally conscious individuals with a deep love for the planet.
For this purpose, we believe that environmental education and education for sustainable development are critical investments, particularly if we are to delivery on the Global Goals.
But more than that, our vision is to turn the “youth bulge”, into a “youth boom” with new opportunities for green jobs, new channels to reach people through video gaming platforms, in addition to working with University partners to support their leadership around the world.
The Sustainable Development Goals are our north star for this work, with a commitment to supporting people to lead more sustainable lifestyles and to support the delivery of environmental education for young people. Supported by governments across the world, UNEP has a clear mandate to build this agenda and empower young people to become the leaders of tomorrow.
