United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) International Environmental Technology Centre (IETC) has launched the new initiative "UNEP Sustainability Action" on June 1, 2020.
UNEP Sustainability Action is an interdisciplinary platform of the United Nations, governments, businesses, citizens and other organizations that aims to promote sustainability in the context of global environmental issues, particularly from the perspective of resource recycling, and to implement "sustainability actions" in our daily lives.
Through this initiative, we will build international networking opportunities among stakeholders, integrate top-level talks, consumer campaign activities and project activities in developing countries, and maximize the power of everyone's connections to achieve a sustainable society.
To launch the project, two videos, a kick-off video and a project introduction video, were released on the IETC's YouTube page.
In the Kick-off video, the Ministry of the Environment of Japan, Fast Retailing Co.,Ltd., Seven & i Holdings Co.,Ltd.,, Kosaka Daimaou(Comedian・Producer of PIKOTARO), Yuuna Okanishi(calligrapher/artist), Global Environment Center Foundation, and UNEP IETC will appear to deliver a message to everyone.
The project introduction video introduces the concept and activities of the initiative, as well as the team members.
