In 2016, UN Environment- OzonAction Program organized the First International Stakeholder workshop about the needs of Refrigeration Servicing Sector (RSS) and was attended by all international associations and MLF bilateral and implementing agencies as well as experts from all regions. The workshop focused on the training needs for the RSS and discussed roadmap for addressing gaps and mobilizing potential capacities amongst all stakeholders to upscale training tools and services.

The Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer will help protect the climate by phasing down high global warming potential hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), which are commonly used as refrigerants.
